Hi there, my name is Maria. I am a management consultant turned business owner. This is my tiny outlet where I get to be a little bit dramatic, facetious, and sarsscastic (sassy sarcastic) in writing about the ‘trials and tribulations’ of taking the jump from a comfortable, corporate, jet-setting lifestyle to building a small business. In short: I used to live like a real princess and now I’m broke. Fun. Why not write about it?

You’ll also find me writing about other things here. Like, finally taking the time to jot down my experiences after enduring 6+ years of nonstop travel and visiting over 45 countries. Or, rambling on about any one of my other muses, from bacon to S&S (Scotch & Steak), DJing to video games, fast cars to bassy music, and other shenanigans.

Her Half Royal Highness  (HHRH)

 
So back to the princess thing. Here’s the TL;DR version: turns out my mom side’s family lineage is from Chinese royalty, direct blood relatives to Aisin Gioro (愛新覺羅). My dad’s of normal, boring Chinese Han blood, appropriately earning him the title “peasant” of the house, and hence I am only half a princess. Boo dad.
